- Our sleds are small and light. They can fit 2 adults and 1 child up to 7 years old (or 2 adults and 2 small kids). These lightweight sleds make it easy to zip through the snow. The final seating decision is always made on site by the kennel host, as it depends on safety considerations such as participants’ weight, height, and overall group composition.
- We keep group sizes small, with just 5 husky teams max per ride. That’s 10 people.
- Our tracks go through a mix of forest paths and across the frozen Ounasjoki River. The landscapes are incredibly diverse, and sky can have astonishing colors. Our kennel is located in a peaceful Lappish village, just a short half-hour drive from Levi center.

On a husky safari, you'll begin with a brief training session where guides will teach you the basics of handling the sled and working with the dogs.

What should I wear for a husky safari?
Dress warmly in multiple layers. We recommend thermal underwear, a fleece or wool layer, waterproof outerwear, insulated boots, a hat, gloves, and a neck warmer. We also provide thermal clothing if needed for an extra fee.
For windy weather, we also recommend wearing ski goggles or eye protection, as snowflakes can get into your eyes during blizzards or while moving at high speeds, which can be quite uncomfortable.
