One of Levi's best known husky kennels

The experience begins with a transfer from Levi to Husky Park, one of Finland's oldest husky kennels and the home of well-known Finnish musher and animal trainer Reijo Jääskeläinen.

During the drive, your guide introduces the world of Siberian huskies and Arctic wildlife before the guided visit begins at the park.

Husky Park is home to Siberian huskies of different ages as well as Arctic foxes, red foxes, tundra wolves, dog-wolf mixes, spitzes and racoon dogs. Puppies may also be present depending on the season.

Some of the animals have been specially trained for film productions. During the guided tour, the host introduces the animals, demonstrates some of their trained skills and shares stories about their individual personalities, training and experiences in front of the camera.

Meet the animals at Husky Park

The guided visit gives guests time to see the different animals around the park and learn more about their behaviour and daily life.

Siberian huskies are at the heart of the experience, while the wider collection of foxes, wolves and other northern animals makes the visit particularly varied. The host's knowledge of the animals adds a personal side to the tour, with stories gathered from years of living, training and working with them.

Please remove gloves and mittens before touching the animals when interaction is permitted. Huskies and foxes can be playful and may grab or damage them. Guests should not feed the animals.

Warm up in the Lappish hut

After the guided outdoor tour, guests can warm up in a cosy Lappish hut by the fireplace.

Hot berry juice or coffee is served with cookies while the visit continues with more stories about husky life in Finnish Lapland.

Guests can also visit Reijo's Hall of Fame, watch a short film about husky life if time allows, and browse local souvenirs before the return to Levi.
