What Happens During Your Private Family Santa Experience in Levi

  • The Private Elf-Guided Journey — Your Family’s Secret Forest Meeting with Father Christmas

Upon arrival at the private location, the group is met by an Elf who guides your family to a secret meeting point deep in the forest — and there he is. Father Christmas himself, standing with Rudolf the reindeer. Santa then invites the children to climb aboard the reindeer magic sled for the ride to his hideaway cabin. Parents and other adults walk ahead, leading the way through the snow. The sled comes to a stop at the old house. By the time the door opens, no one needs to be told this is real.

  • Arrival at the Secret Hideaway — Your Family, Alone with Father Christmas

Guests are welcomed by Santa himself, Rudolf the reindeer, and the Elf. There is time to photograph the magic sleigh outside before heading in.

  • Santa’s Private Family Program — Stories, Songs and a Personal Gift for Every Child

Santa tells the story of Finnish and Nordic Christmas traditions — how Christmas is celebrated in Lapland, what the season means to the people who live here, and why this corner of the world became Santa’s home. Then every child is called forward personally, comes to sit with Santa, shares their secret wish, and receives a surprise gift — given by Santa’s own hand, in front of everyone in the room. This is the Finnish way — open and communal, where every child’s moment is shared by the whole room. Then Santa leads everyone in traditional Christmas songs — carols that belong to the Finnish Christmas season, sung together in the warmth of the cabin. If time allows, a Christmas dance follows. These are not performance moments; they are participation moments, and the difference is felt.

  • Private Gingerbread Workshop with Mrs. Claus — Your Family in the Cabin Kitchen

Mrs. Claus hosts the gingerbread workshop: making, baking and decorating, with the Elf on hand to wrap the finished cookies for the journey home. The evening ends with glögi — traditional Finnish mulled drink with Christmas spices.

Before You Book Your Private Santa Experience in Levi — A Few Things Worth Knowing

Our program is built on Finnish and Nordic Christmas traditions — which are real and meaningful here, but don’t always match what guests from other countries expect. A few things worth knowing before you arrive:

  • Children’s names: Learning children’s names is the Elf’s job — and they always try their best.
  • Children’s letters: Drop your child’s letter at our Safarimarket office in Levi before 12:00 on the program day. Letters are placed in Santa’s post station. Santa may not have time to read every letter during the program.
  • Special personal gifts: Every child receives a standard surprise gift from Santa. If you would like Santa to give your child a personal gift from you, this can be arranged — contact us in advance and our Elves will coordinate with Santa.
  • Daylight: In November and December, days in Lapland are short and it starts to get dark already after 2 pm — and that is exactly when our Santa’s Private Family Program — Stories, Songs and a Personal Gift for Every Child runs. Remember: the magic starts outside. Candlelight glows around the cabin, reflected in the white snow, and the blue Arctic dusk wraps everything in a blue light that bright daylight simply cannot match.

        • What makes this private Santa experience in Levi different from other Santa programs in Lapland?

This exclusive private Santa experience in Levi has been running in the same cabin with the same Santa since 1998. The cabin is a genuine 100-year-old reindeer herder’s and farmer’s cabin in Finnish Lapland, not a purpose-built attraction. The evening is yours alone — no other families, no shared program. The program follows real Finnish and Nordic Christmas traditions: storytelling, communal songs, a dance, and a gingerbread workshop hosted by Mrs. Claus. Every child gets a personal moment with Santa in the privacy of your own family’s evening.

        • Is this exclusive private Santa experience in Levi worth it for families with young children?

For families who want more than a photo opportunity with a stranger in a queue, yes. This is a fully private two-hour Christmas experience — just your family, Santa, Mrs. Claus and the Elf. Storytelling, songs, a dance, a gingerbread workshop, and a personal gift for every child. The setting — a candlelit private cabin in the blue Arctic dusk of Lapland — is something children remember for the rest of their lives. It has been running since 1998 for a reason.

Yes. Because this is a fully private charter — the entire evening exclusively for your family — the pace, the atmosphere and every detail can be shaped around you. The program follows its natural shape: the private Elf-guided journey, the children reindeer magic sled ride with Santa, his stories, the songs, the gingerbread workshop, the dance. But personal gifts from parents, Santa’s letters prepared in advance, and any other special arrangements can all be discussed. Contact us to plan your family’s private Santa experience in Levi.
