Be the reindeer herder in the wilderness. Avoid the tourist buzz and crowds. Our host keeps long-standing family traditions in reindeer herding.
The main idea of the programs is a close interaction with a “wilder” kind of reindeer, the one not used to pulling a sled with tourists.
Both programs guarantee full privacy for our group during the program. Both programs include a delivery to the spot with a snowmobile sled. The herder's day program includes a longer ride in a snowmobile sled due to both ways transportation.
The guests get picked up by a snowmobile sled from the Levi area and travel in a sled to arrive directly to the spot: in one shorter program - straight to the reindeer corral, and in the longer program – to a private old forest full of reindeers.
In both programs there are new Lappish huts (kotas) to warm the guests by the open fire and treat them with some freshly made delicacies. In both spots we have built raised platforms to take beautiful photos of the reindeers like in the wilderness. Spots are well positioned with a scenic background.
Please note that these programs do not include a reindeer ride. These reindeer are not trained for tourist work like at other reindeer farms. However, like all reindeer in Finland, they are semi-domesticated animals, so in the presence of a reindeer herder, they behave safely around people.

Our reindeer farm programs in Levi began in December 2024, and our very first winter season was a great success!
Guests who visited the farm left with unforgettable memories, and many said it was one of the highlights of their trip to Lapland. We’re grateful for all the kind words and happy faces - and now we’re excited to share some beautiful moments captured during this experience with you.

What to Expect from the tour
You'll get dressed in cozy winter overalls and hop into a snowmobile sled for an exciting ride through the snowy wilderness. Before you know it, you'll find yourself surrounded by a vast "sea" of reindeer.
Meet the welcoming reindeer herder and step into the daily life of a traditional herder. Learn how to catch and harness a reindeer, feed them, and uncover facts about Lappish animals.
Pick-Up in Levi Area
Start your tour with a snowmobile sled ride through the snow-covered wilderness into the reindeer corral.
Reindeer Corral / Wilderness Forest
Meet the wilder kind of reindeer and learn about them from local herders. Close interaction with the animals for almost an hour and connecting with nature.
Photography Session
Capture the beauty of the reindeer against stunning natural backdrops of Kätkä fell. Taking photos of the reindeer with your own camera.
Warm Up in a Traditional Hut
Relax by the open fire and enjoy freshly made delicacies. Hot drink, frying sausages and pancakes in a Lappish hut.
Warm winter clothing
Overall and boots. Suitable for an average temperature -15 C. Thermal suits are available in the following sizes: children 120-160cm; adults sizes 44-64 (EU). Shoe sizes: 28-48 (EU).

What makes this tour different from other reindeer tours?
Our reindeer are not trained for tourist rides. This is a more authentic experience with wilder, semi-domesticated reindeer in a natural setting.
