Leave your main suitcase in Levi and set off with the essentials for 4 days on the trail. Each stage brings you to a different overnight stop: Hetta, Lake Jerisjärvi and Ylläs, before the circuit returns to Levi.
You have a private guide throughout and a snowmobile of your own. With your riding gear, fuel, 3 nights and meals included, the journey has a clear shape from the first departure to your return.

4-day snowmobile route
The planned circuit covers approximately 400 km. The first stage is the longest at around 150 km. Distances and timings may change with conditions and the riding ability of the group.
Day 1. Levi → Hetta
Approx. 150 km
Leave Levi and begin the longest planned stage of the circuit, travelling through winter forests and across frozen lakes. Lunch provides a break along the way before your first overnight stop in Hetta, on Lake Ounasjärvi.

Day 2. Hetta → Jerisjärvi
Approx. 105 km
Continue through western Lapland towards Lake Jerisjärvi. After the day’s riding, settle into your room and visit Arctic Sauna World. Enjoy the different saunas and lake views, with an optional dip in the ice hole.

Day 3. Jerisjärvi → Ylläs
Approx. 65 km
Follow the next stage to Ylläs, a destination known for its 7 rounded fells and the villages of Äkäslompolo and Ylläsjärvi. This is the shortest planned riding day of the circuit, followed by dinner and your final overnight stay.

Day 4. Ylläs → Levi
Approx. 80 km
Complete the western Lapland circuit. Ride through forests and across frozen lakes on the return to Levi. Stop for lunch along the way, then collect your main luggage at the end of the expedition.

Your own snowmobile. Your overnight essentials.
Drive a Lynx Xterrain Core 600 ACE, with 1 person per snowmobile and fuel included. An individual cargo box carries your overnight essentials, while your main luggage remains in storage in Levi.
Pack thermal base layers, spare clothing, comfortable clothes for the evenings and a swimsuit. We confirm cargo capacity and packing recommendations before departure. Separate luggage transport is available at an additional cost.

At Lake Jerisjärvi, sauna admission is included. Enjoy the saunas and lake views, with an optional dip in the ice hole. Bring a swimsuit. Facilities depend on the venue’s opening arrangements; admission is shared unless a private upgrade is separately confirmed.

Questions before you ride
Do I need previous snowmobile experience?
Previous experience is recommended. This is a 4-day expedition with several hours of riding on consecutive days, including a first stage of approximately 150 km. If you are new to snowmobiling, contact us before booking so we can discuss your experience and whether this expedition suits you.
Who can drive?
Drivers must be aged 18 or over and carry a valid physical driving licence accepted in Finland throughout the expedition.
Each participant drives their own snowmobile.
Your guide provides driving instructions before departure.
Alcohol is prohibited before and during driving.
Is this a private expedition?
Yes. Your expedition has a private guide for your team throughout the four days. Accommodation and Arctic Sauna World are not exclusively reserved for your group unless a private upgrade is specifically confirmed.
Where will we stay?
The itinerary includes 3 overnight stops: Hetta, Jerisjärvi and Ylläs. Private rooms with private bathrooms are included. The properties, room allocation and any special requests are confirmed in your personal proposal.
Which meals are included?
3 breakfasts, 4 lunches and 3 dinners are included. Please tell us about allergies and dietary requirements when enquiring so we can check arrangements before confirming your trip.
How much luggage can I bring?
Each snowmobile has an individual cargo box for overnight essentials. Your main suitcase can remain in storage in Levi. A separate luggage vehicle is available at an additional cost. Cargo capacity and packing advice are confirmed before departure.
Is 400 km guaranteed?
The planned circuit totals approximately 400 km. Daily distances, the route and timings may change with snow, ice, weather conditions and the riding ability of the group. Your guide adapts the journey to the conditions.
What insurance do I need?
Travel insurance is not included. Check with your insurer that your policy covers snowmobiling and the full expedition. Snowmobile damage liability is specified in your personal proposal; review it before confirming your booking.
Can we customise the trip?
Yes. You can request extra nights, accommodation upgrades, a husky safari, a visit to Lainio SnowVillage or separate luggage transport. Additional services are charged separately and depend on availability. A longer final-day route via Kumputunturi also depends on weather and trail conditions.
