Adrenalin safari - Snowmobile adventure for experienced riders, Levi

3 hours and 30 minutes

Moderate

For the experienced snowmobile drivers

For adults only.

The Adrenalin Safari is designed exclusively for adult riders with prior snowmobiling experience. Solo snowmobiles are strongly recommended to fully enjoy the power, control, and freedom this tour offers.

If you’re looking to push beyond the typical tourist trail and explore the wild terrain of Finnish Lapland at a faster pace and for longer distances — this is the ride for you.

No sleighs, no children, no shortcuts.

Real Riding, Real Terrain.

Route options vary based on snow conditions and the time of the season. Each tour is carefully planned to deliver the best possible riding experience — making loops either around Levi Fell or through the Kätkätunturi and Pyhätunturi mountain areas, with sections on our private trails crossing untouched wilderness.

Later in the winter season, when conditions allow, we ride all the way up to the summit of Levi Mountain for panoramic views that stretch all the way to the Swedish border. There’s no feeling quite like it — the wind, the silence, and the vast white wilderness unfolding endlessly in every direction.

Expect a total distance of 40–60 kilometers, with a duration of approximately 3 hours, depending on the route and snow conditions.

Why Choose the Adrenalin Safari?

This tour is built for riders who want more — more distance, more speed, more terrain, and more Arctic adventure. It’s one of the few programs in Levi that takes you beyond the basics, deep into forest trails and across dramatic fell landscapes.

Whether you’re a returning visitor or a snowmobile enthusiast, the Adrenalin Safari offers a raw, rewarding, and unforgettable experience in the heart of Lapland.

Mid-Ride Break: Fire, Food, and Views

Along the route, we stop at a private wilderness kota (Lappish hut) with an open fire — the perfect place to warm up, relax, and enjoy a hot drink and light snack.

Alternatively, depending on the route, we may visit a remote wilderness café that serves traditional homemade Lappish soup with bread and butter — available as an optional extra.

The tour starts with a pickup from Levi and transfer to our safari house. There, you’ll gear up with thermal equipment: a snowmobile suit, boots, mittens, helmet, balaclava, and woolen socks — all designed to keep you warm and dry.

Your guide will provide a safety briefing and driving instructions — and then you’re ready to hit the trail.

Additional options on the tour:

  • Soup lunch in a warm café along the route.

        • Damages to snowmobiles

All snowmobiles used in our safaris are insured as required by Finnish law. Coverage is subject to the Finnish Motor Liability Insurance Act, related regulations, and applicable laws of Finland.

Clients participating in safaris are liable for damage caused to snowmobiles. The tour price includes accident insurance with a maximum deductible of €950 per driver. You can reduce the deductible to €350 by purchasing a waiver (€35). The waiver must be purchased at the time of booking online or in our office before the start of the safari.

If the driver does not follow the Finnish Road Traffic Act or the instructions given by our guide, all damages to the snowmobile must be paid in full (deductibles and waivers do not apply).

        • Personal injuries

Snowmobile programs can be physically demanding, and participants may be exposed to physical strain (for example, bumps along the route). Therefore, snowmobiling is not recommended for pregnant women or people with back problems.

If a Client has any illnesses or disabilities (such as heart disease, asthma, diabetes, epilepsy, back or hip problems) that could affect their ability to participate, or if they are pregnant, they should consult medical experts before departure. Each participant is personally responsible for assessing their own ability to take part in the activity.

STG may only be held liable for personal injuries or material damage caused by negligence of STG, its employees, or subcontractors, or by faulty equipment, and only during the delivery of services under this Contract. STG is not liable for accidental injuries or damages that fall under the Client’s personal travel insurance. Comprehensive travel insurance is always strongly recommended.

        Practical information:

        • Finnish law requires snowmobile drivers to be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driver’s license (B, T, A1, or A). Drivers must carry their license during the safari, as police patrols also operate on snowmobile tracks.
        • Alcohol tolerance is zero. Finnish law strictly prohibits driving a snowmobile under the influence of alcohol. Drivers may be breathalyzed before departure. Participation will be denied if under the influence of alcohol; no refund applies.
        • The official speed limit for snowmobiles in Finland is 60 km/h; driving is only permitted on marked trails. Average snowmobile speed: 30–40 km/h (per safety regulations).
        • Two adults share one snowmobile unless a solo driving supplement is booked.
        • Passengers must be at least 130 cm tall and able to reach the footrests.
        • As the responsible safari organizer, STG reserves the right to adjust routes, schedules, and durations of excursions if required by weather, safety, or participant comfort. STG also reserves the right to discontinue the safari if a participant is considered a danger to themselves or others or is in poor health.
        What to bring
          • Please take your driving license with you on the snowmobile safari as the police may check the validity of the license during the safari.
          • We recommend wearing thermal body-wear + multilayer clothing and woolen socks. You will get warm outer clothing and boots before the safari.
          • For those people who consider self-rental: out there you’ll be surrounded by almost total whiteness, so it’s quite easy to lose one’s way for the first time, that’s why to guarantee the quality time, we highly recommend for the first time to go on an organized safari with an experienced local guide.
